Industrial adhesives come in many forms, from solvent cements formulated for bonding similar plastics to solvent-free, instant, UV curable and structural adhesives that can be used to bond dissimilar substrates to each other, such as plastics to metal.
Using the right industrial adhesive can produce strong bonds when applied to acrylic, ABS, polycarbonate, styrene or virtually any other plastic or metal. In many cases, the bond achieved by the adhesive is inherently stronger than the material itself. Choosing the correct grade is dependent upon the substrates, working time needed, desired cure time, and the expected service environment.
Cyanoacrylate adhesives bond very quickly to a wide range of substrates. RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) silicone sealants serve a broad spectrum of industrial and electronic applications. Solvent-based adhesives are widely used for bonding popular plastics like polycarbonate and acrylic. Structural adhesives and acrylic adhesives provide extremely durable bonds with little to no surface preparation.
Operating from numerous stocking locations across North America, our knowledgeable sales teams are well prepared to help you find the appropriate industrial adhesives for all of your application needs.
