Piedmont Plastics® receives SGIA Sustainability Recognition Award for its sustainable business practices.
April 14th, 2016 – On April 14th Piedmont Plastics was presented the SGIA Sustainability Recognition Award, which recognizes sustainable business practices of SGIA members. Piedmont Plastics was recognized for demonstrating excellence in business and environmental sustainability. The award was based on a sustainability project in 2015, communication of Piedmont’s sustainability policy to its stakeholders and how our sustainability program reduced our environmental footprint.
Piedmont has successfully reduced our environmental footprint through continuous sustainability projects at many of our branches nationwide, as well as implementing programs that affect the daily working life of our employees and customers.
We have taken huge strides in improving our environmental awareness with formation of a company-wide Green Team, Plastic Reclamation Program, a Natural Solutions product line drawing attention to products containing recycled content. We are proud of this Environmental Excellence recognition and would like to continue making strides to improve the environment for our employees, community, and plastics distribution.
