Our workforce is the very heartbeat of our organization, with each member contributing distinct skills, viewpoints, and life experiences that enhance our corporate identity and propel us forward.

This article aims to shine a spotlight on the incredible individuals who make up our team. By sharing stories from across the company, we aim to cultivate a stronger sense of community and appreciation among our team members. Moreover, we seek to motivate others by showcasing the breadth of opportunities and achievements within Piedmont.

Tanya Clinton, Credit Manager

Tanya joined Piedmont’s Home Office 10 years ago as a Credit Analyst before transitioning to her current role of Credit Manager.

As Credit Manager, Tanya leads our credit team who work collaboratively with our branches to service our customers every day. Tanya is an excellent leader who thinks outside of the box to deliver solutions that best support both our customers and the business.

“I enjoy that my job involves interacting with various teams across the organization, making every day different,” says Tanya. “Most importantly, the respect, trust, and support from my peers daily makes for a positive culture that doesn’t feel like work.”

Antoine Poole, Branch Operations Manager – Daytona Beach

Antoine began his journey with Piedmont almost twelve years ago, first as a temporary worker before quickly obtaining a full-time position in the warehouse.

Antoine’s hard work and dedication led him to work his way up through different roles all while pursuing a degree in business management. He became the Assistant Warehouse Manager before being promoted to his current role as Daytona Beach’s Branch Operations Manager.

“Piedmont provides a lot of stability and has a very family-oriented environment,” says Antoine. “I enjoy getting to problem-solve each day and physically see the results of the team’s hard work.”

Omari Mitchell, Inside Sales Representative - New Orleans

Omari first started his career at Piedmont Plastics in Atlanta over three years ago through our summer internship program. Following his college graduation, Omari became an Inside Sales Representative at our Charlotte branch before transferring to our New Orleans location.

Omari has been an incredible asset to the organization and is always willing to go above and beyond. In his time with us, he has already worked at three different branches, forging great relationships and experiences.

“I’ve had a unique career path at Piedmont so far and I’m grateful for the experiences, knowledge, and people I’ve met along the way,” says Omari.

Rico Campbell, Warehouse Associate – Raleigh

Rico has been a part of the Piedmont family for the last 12 years. During his time here, he’s had numerous responsibilities within the warehouse at our Raleigh branch including shipping and receiving, material handling, and operating the saw.

Rico’s strong work ethic and his experience in a wide array of areas make him an invaluable asset within our Raleigh branch.

“Between working with customers, communicating with couriers and drivers, working the saw, and working on the floor, there’s never a dull moment,” says Rico. “Everyone works together and there’s a strong sense of teamwork and community, and I feel very fulfilled in my work each day.”

Leander Gaymon, Talent Acquisition & Compensation Manager

Leander joined the Piedmont family almost 10 years ago as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. Over the course of his time here, he has led the development and delivery of talent acquisition services to support the company’s goals and objectives. This includes creating and implementing recruitment strategies, conducting interviews, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.

One of his career highlights has been the successful introduction of our internship program, as it has provided valuable opportunities for aspiring professionals as well as strengthened our talent pipeline and fostered a culture of learning and development within our organization.

Leander says, “Working at Piedmont Plastics has been a rewarding journey characterized by growth, achievement, and a vibrant company culture made up of collaboration, innovation, and mutual respect. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the company’s success and its ongoing evolution.”

Martiques Taylor, Film Warehouse Production Manager - Charlotte

Martiques has been working at Piedmont for seven years as part of our Charlotte Film Group. He started out operating our sheeter cutting wide-format rolls of film material, and worked his way to running the guillotine for film cut-to-size requests. From there, he was promoted to his current role as Warehouse Production Manager.

The highlight of his job is getting to interact with his coworkers every day and work as a team to continually exceed customer expectations. Martiques particularly enjoys getting to physically see the results of the team’s work and the final product after converting our film materials.

“Piedmont Plastics has an open-door family environment that starts from the top. There is no cap for how far you can go if you have the work ethic to get there,” says Martiques.

Toe McClam, CNC/Router Operator - Atlanta

Toe joined our team in Atlanta three years ago as a warehouse associate and brought with her years of prior warehouse experience. She was ready and willing to learn anything, which led her to transition into her current role as a CNC/Router Operator.

With a strong mind and great leadership skills, she has proven to be essential to our Atlanta branch. Her merit, character, and integrity truly make an invaluable member of the Piedmont family.

“The positive atmosphere, culture, and flexibility makes me excited to come to work each day,” says Toe. “The opportunities for upward mobility and growth make this feel like a career instead of just a job.”
